Individual Counseling
Trauma-informed therapy for late adolescents and adults—helping you feel seen, safe, and supported
What to Expect in Individual Therapy
“Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck where you don’t belong.”
— N.R. Narayana Murthy
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been managing a lot on your own. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly where to start — we’ll move at your pace.
Individual therapy is a space to explore what’s been coming up for you — emotionally, physically, and in your relationships — in a way that feels safe and supported. Together, we’ll work to understand patterns that may have developed over time and begin making space for new ways of coping, relating, and being.
This may be a good fit if you:
Feel stuck in patterns that are hard to shift
Have experienced trauma or difficult experiences in the past
Struggle with shame, self-worth, or feeling “not good enough”
Find it hard to manage emotions or feel disconnected from them
Feel overwhelmed, anxious, or weighed down by stress
Notice changes in your mood or energy that are hard to explain
Have trouble with trust, boundaries, or relationships
Want to feel more grounded, connected, or in control
Therapy isn’t about having everything figured out — it’s about having a space where you don’t have to do it alone.

Approach to Healing
-
By integrating EMDR and Somatic Therapy, we’ll reconnect you with your body to process and release trauma stored physically, while using EMDR to reduce the emotional charge of past trauma and promote healing.

Inner-Child Work and Internal Family Systems (IFS) focus on healing emotional wounds from childhood and integrating different parts of yourself. Inner-Child Work nurtures the vulnerable aspects of you, while IFS helps uncover and heal parts that hold onto trauma, promoting emotional balance, self-compassion, and inner peace.

By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy, we can identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while also exploring the deeper, underlying causes behind them. CBT helps you make practical changes in how you think, feel, and behave in the present, while Psychodynamic Therapy delves into past experiences and emotional patterns to uncover the root causes of these thoughts and behaviors.
-
Through Attachment-Based Work and Relationship Therapy, we’ll explore how early trauma and attachment experiences influence your current relationships. By understanding these patterns, we can address relational wounds, repair trust, and help you develop healthier ways to connect and communicate. This process fosters emotional safety, deeper connection, and healthier relationship dynamics.
